He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Kaler and Gladys Kaler (Rines); his stepson Wayne Merrifield; his brother James Kaler; and his stepgrandson Kenneth Beaver.
He is survived by: his wife Gail B. Kaler (Sheets); his son Kevin; his daughter-in-law Ellysa Kaler of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; his daughter Kimberly; his son-in-law Zachary West of Montoursville; his stepdaughters, Lorri Beaver of Redding, CA and Holly Britton of Fayetteville, NC; his grandchildren, Kelly Kaler, Kenny Kaler and Piper West; his stepgrandchildren, Cole, Michelle, Caylin and Teagan; and his sister Joan Kaler (Stuart Wright) of Wiscasset, ME.
