He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Koons and Pauline Koons (Aikey); and his son-in-law Charles Scott Young. He is survived by: his former wife Margaret H. Sarfine; his wife Marge; his children, Krystal Young of West Milton and Abram M. Koons Jr. (Christine) of Winfield; his sister Theresa Folk of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Andrea Young Mikowski (Andrew), Nathan Young (Kelly) and Dustin Koons (Kirsten); and his great grandchild Brody Koons.
