He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Harrison and Doris Grace Mellott (Carling); his brother George Mellott; and his stepbrothers, William Hoover and Harold Hoover.
He is survived by: his sisters, Elaine Harper (Allen), Diane Goss (Lester) and Donna Bonson (Larry); and his stepsiblings, Larry Hoover and Darlis Jane Guthridge.
