He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benjamin Simpson and Marge Motsavage Simpson; his son Richard Simpson Jr. (Mackenzie); his grandchildren, Hadley and Victoria Simpson; his sisters, Judy Phillips (John) and Rita MacDonald (Allan); and his niece Jennifer Tucholski (Rick).
