He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Bitler and Fannie Arta Bitler (Potter); his wife Mary Ellen Bitler (Snyder); his sister Phyllis Heacock; and his son-in-law Douglas Cain.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Cain of Millville, Anthony Bitler (Sheryl) of Colorado Springs, Colo and Sue Ellen Hons (Harold) of Millville; and his grandchildren, Tyson Cain (Andrea), Alyssa Hons (Travis), Serena Adam (Thomas), Sara Bitler (Jayce), Ryan Wallace (Tiffany) and Keli Sequoia (Lindsay). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
