He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Dietrich and Eleanor "Hopper" Dietrich; and his brother Frank Dietrich. He is survived by: his wife Susan "Davis" Dietrich; his child Shannon Lynn South (Mike); and his siblings, Annamae Gally, Eleanor McCormack (Ray), Diana Vinski (John), Joann Czachowski (Vince), Joseph Dietrich and Marlene Schattauer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
