He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Hollinger; his son Leo Hollinger; and his siblings, Robert, Edward, Raymond, David and MaryAnn Merzlak.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Sokol (Edward), Thomas Peter Hollinger Jr. (Kymberly Hambleton) and Alan Hollinger (Cindy). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
