He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Tracy Herzer (Tim), Paul Skalos (Patty) and Nicole Werner (Mike); his stepchildren, Thomas Johnston (Connie), Timothy Johnston and RaeAnn Loomis; his children, Alexa, Amelia, Eli Herzer, Zain, Payton, Brady Skalos, Mykenzie and Morgan Werner; and his siblings, Vickie, William Brennan, Michelle Rudzki (Leo), Marge Duderstadt, Joan Dankmyer and James Skalos.
