It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Hanes of Mills, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon C. Hanes and Vera Viola Morgan Hanes; his daughter Cynthia A. Hanes; his stepfather Ross Young; and his brothers, William Hanes, Herbert L. Hanes and Harry T. Hanes.
He is survived by: his former wife Judith A. Liepertz; his wife Judy; his children, Kathleen O'Connor of Oak Park, IL and Joseph E. Hanes, Jr. of Torrington, CT; his siblings, Robert Hanes of New Smyrna, FL and Harriett Arreola (Frank) of Magna, UT; and his sisters-in-law, Naomi Hanes of Sunderlinville, Miriam Lucy Hanes of Lawrenceville and Beverly Channey of Bradenton, FL.
