It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Howard Houser (Millheim, Pennsylvania), born in Reedsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 27, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Howard Houser and Anna Mary Houser (Hetrick); his sisters, Mary Margaret Lacombe, Sara Ann Gray, Charlotte Irene Houser and Donna Marie Fredd; his son-in-law Ed Kerstetter; and also, Allen Rearick and Lois Sims.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Florence Rearick; his children, Mary Ellen Storm (Craig), Sandra Haagen (Stephen), Karen Auman (Benjamin), Barbara Kerstetter and James Houser (Teresa); his grandchildren, Kaleb Storm (Kamryn), Jacob Kadel (Seryozha), Isaac Haagen, Aaron Auman (Joanna), Charlotte Natali (Paul), Kristen Houser and Kurtis Houser; his great grandchildren, Avery Auman, Isaiah Auman and Carter Natali; his brother David L. Houser (Cecelia); his wife Gladys C. Hartle (Waite); his stepchildren, Linda Clapper (Bill), Janet Hartle (David Wiegand), Tom Hartle (Lori), Deborah Fedore (John) and Betsy Hoffman; and also, Faye Koenigsberg (Doug) and Beverly Reese. He is also survived by 11 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.
