She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alters and Hattie "Shawver" Alters; her husband Paul R. "Wonky" Byers, Jr.; and her siblings, Paul, Lawrence, Elmer, Ralph, Richard, Jay, Leon, Dean, Goldie Smith and Bernice Snyder.
She is survived by: her caregiver Victoria Palmer. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
