He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edwin Jennings and Mildred L. Grinnell Jennings; his son Ronald Lynn Jennings (Nancy Scott Jennings); his wife Leah Sheive Jennings of Millerton; and his brother Charles LaVerne Jennings.

He is survived by: his son Richard Eugene Jennings (Susan Stevens Jennings); his sister Peg Gardner Everett; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Ryan Jennings (Angela Kinsman Jennings), Sara Lynn Jennings, Heather Hope Henry (Justin Petsch Henry), Renee Mae Virlee (Drew Olsen Virlee), Barbara Lynne Wilston (Randon Wing Wilston) and Russel "Joey" Jennings; and his great grandchildren, Clayton Ronald Jennings, Joel Case Jennings, Weston Ryan Jennings, Isaiah Daniel Jennings, Hunter Frederick Henry, Waylon Richard Henry, Walker Jennings Henry, Ingrid Mae Virlee, Pierce Olsen Virlee and Rye William Wilston.

Due to current pandemic conditions, a Memorial Service will be held for Donald in the spring, the date and time to be announced.
