He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Russell (Shenk) and John H. Garber Russell; his son Gerald Lynn; his grandson Conor Zeiset; and his son-in-law Clifford Harnly.
He is survived by: his wife Esther (Hertzler); his daughters, Mary Ann Barley (Roy) of Manheim, Barbara Zeiset of Lancaster, Nancy, Louise Smith (Stephen) of Willow Street and Linda Harnly of Lititz; and his siblings, Anna Ruth Groff of Mountville and Paul L. Garber of Lancaster.
