It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary L. Mays of Millersville, Pennsylvania, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Kast and Joanna Nixdorf Kast; her spouse Jerry R. Mays, Sr.; her sons, David P. Mays and Jerry R. Mays, Jr.; and her siblings, Joanne D. Rohrer, Emma Boas, Kathy Reifsnyder, Betty Smith, Cecilia Witmer, Arthur "Dutch" Kast, Joseph "Ronald" Kast, John Kast, Eddie Kast, William Kast and Samuel Wirrick.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda L. (James Whitaker) of Adamstown, Kathryn M. Mays of Bradenton, Wendy S. (Melvin Hess) of Conestoga, Licia E. Mays of St. Petersburg, Timothy A. (Sue) of Bradenton and Matthew J. Mays; her close friends, Denise Cantey of Conestoga and John R. (Shelley Mays) of Millersville; and her sister June Kast Putt of Conestoga. She is also survived by her 27 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
