He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick R. Helwig and Georgia Helwig (Bowman); and his sister Mary L. Helwig. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Helwig (Gotshall); his son Randall D. Helwig; his daughter-in-law Eileen; his daughter Anne E. Walk (Helwig); his son-in-law Gene; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Seasock (Helwig) and Sarah Schnupp (Mark); his great grandchild Elena Seasock; and his brother John F. Helwig (San Jose). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
