He was predeceased by: his parents, Hattie [Bordner] and Fred Leitzel; his wife Leta Mae [Newman] Leitzel; and his siblings, Sue Lebo, Romaine Botts, Jim, Bill and Fred Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Morlock [Wayne], Alison Leitzel (Barry Davis) and Nance McCown [Jon]; his close friend Shirley Miller; his grandchildren, Becky Morlock, Annie Clementoni [Brian], Alanna Hoyer-Leitzel (Danial Deschaine), Zachary Hoyer-Leitzel (Naomi Onsongo), Kaiya Hoyer-Leitzel (Josh Borglum), Stephen McCown (Courtney Potteiger), Kate Gale [Nathan] and Christie McCown (Ryan Huggins); his great grandchildren, Kyle Morlock, Adrianna, Joey Clementoni, Nyorita and Mandere Hoyer-Leitzel; and his siblings, Lynn Leitzel [Louise] and Jo Heffron [Jack]. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
