With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George A. Lazar of Millersburg, Pennsylvania, born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2024 at the age of 67. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Lazar and Agnes Lazar (Renko); his wife Pamela; his pet Minnie; his sister Helen Sidlauskas (Peter) of Escondido, CA; his nephew Adam Lazar (Jesse); his great-nephews, Oliver and Anthony Yates; his niece Pricilla Petrole (Zack); his great-nephew Liam; his sister-in-law Deborah Pruss (Karl); his nephews, Timothy and Jeremy; his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Schmerfeld (Susan) and John Schmerfeld (Lori); and his nephew Johnathan Schmerfeld (Kristine). He was also cherished by friends, and neighbors.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Queen of Peace Church, St. Vincent de Paul fund, 202 Zimmerman Road, Millersburg, PA 17061 or St. Jude Children's Hospital at https://www.stjude.org.
