He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Nunamaker Peters; his children, Diane Loraine Bogert (Dawson) of Mill Village, Robin Ann Kent (Randy) of Union City and Robert F. Peters, Jr. (Nadine) of Corry; his grandchildren, Jennifer Butler, Dawson Bogert Jr., Randy Kent Jr., Alisha Betcher, Loraine Goetz, John Peters, Elizabeth Bruner, Adam Peters, Eric Peters and Paul Peters; and his siblings, Raymond Peters, Fern Carr (John) and Virginia Bliley (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
