With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Jean Shady of Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on June 21, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald A. Lindsay and Margaret J. Lindsay; and her significant other Richard B. "Dick" Shady. She is survived by : her children, Leslie Rakes (David), Kelly Brent (Geoffrey), Randy Shady (Pam), Shelly Bower (Scott) and Sherri Shady (Darren McCauley); and her brothers, Michael Lindsay and Leonard Snyder. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Blanchard Church of Christ (161 Beach St, Blanchard, PA 16826). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blanchard Church of Christ.
