He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold S. Bierly and Alice Bowmaster Bierly; and his sister Carole Bucheit. He is survived by: his wife Deb; his sons, Samuel C. Bierly (Courtney) of Pleasant Gap and Patrick E. Bierly (Jill) of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Willow, Helen, Hudson and Samuel J.; his brother Forney Bierly (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Fred Bucheit, Duane Rupert, Kelly and Terry Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sam's memory may be made through the funeral home to Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital or Mackeyville United Methodist Church.
