He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hakin and Susan Hough Hakin; his wife Mary Ann Peters; his children, Susan C. Watkins and Lynn V. Hakin, II; his granddaughter Amanda J. Ciacelli; and his siblings, Elva Yost, Wallace Hakin (Wally) and George Hakin, Jr. (Lynn V. Hakin).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mary Jo Lund, Shawn C. Neff and Lynn V. Hakin, III (Serita). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Belle Springs Golf Course through the funeral home.
