It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Ida Mayes (Mill Hall, Pennsylvania), born in Castanea, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Samuel R. Bechtol; and her siblings, Samuel R. Bechtol Jr., Daniel Bechtol, Vera Dravsdick and Margaret Bechtol.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda M. Polen (Paul) of Lock Haven; her sister Rosie Jane Conner of Endicott, NY; her grandchildren, Craig E. Polen (Birgitta) and Mariah S. Polen (Brandy); and her great grandchildren, Byrke Polen, Brecken Polen and Hunter Polen.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Julia's name can be made to: LEO Only, Peace Love and Poms Rescue, or UPMC Family Hospice of Williamsport (North Central Pennsylvania). Donations can be dropped off at the funeral home or church.
