Evelyn Fernburg Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Fernburg of Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest Earl and Ellen F. Whitsel (Fultz); her husband Harry Clarence Fernburg; her daughter Cathie Rote of Mill Hall; and her brother Nelson Ernest Whitsel (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her daughter Nadine; her brothers, Warren Whitesel, Curtis Whitsel, Forest Whitsel, Jr. and Lewis Whitsel (Carol); her grandchildren, Jessica Madenford (Douglas), Matthew Rote (Amanda), Carrie Bower (Ryan), James Gorham (Mary), Natasha Gorham, Hannah Kibbe and Michael T. Kibbe; and her great grandchild Evelyn.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Helt Funeral Chapel, Inc. (232 Hogan Blvd, Mill Hall, PA 17751). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at the Rest Haven Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Park Foundation in honor of Evelyn's love of travel, adventure, and seeing the treasures of the world.
