He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Muthler and Ettie Muthler (Orner); his former wife Lucy Cunningham; his sons, Ernest Muthler and Dean N. Muthler, Jr.; his grandson Seth D. Muthler; and his brother Glenn Muthler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy L. Heltman; his children, Neil E. Muthler and Alma M. Duck (Elwood, Jr.) of Lock Haven; his stepchildren, David T. Heltman (Nancy) of Zephyrhills, FL and Karen L. Ricker (Michael) of Lock Haven; his grandchildren, Hope Ann, Mark, Bethany, Matthew, Sherry, Esther and Rebecca; and his great grandchildren, Cassidy and Zayne.
