He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Litz and Anna E. Rupert Litz; his brother Terry Litz; his siblings-in-law, Pat Litz and Danny Probst; and his great-nephew Terry Litz.
He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Smith; his children, Barbara Eldred (Jeremy Young) of Montoursville, Kimberly Smith (Russ) of Montgomery and Jeffrey Moore (Kristi Liptak) of Rote; his siblings, Harry Litz of Lock Haven and Ruthanne Probst of Ohio; his grandchildren, Marlaina Eldred Rupert (Troy) of Pittsburgh and Carter Smith of Montgomery; and his great grandchild Beckett Rupert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Lamar Township Volunteer Fire Company #11. Carl's family would like to express the sincere gratitude for the donor heart he received 26 years ago and would like to encourage all to consider giving the gift of organ and tissue donation.
