He was predeceased by: his son Thomas Sturno; and his sister Edna Sturno. He is survived by: his wife Patricia McGirr Sturno; his children, David Sturno (Lila Arco), Philip Sturno (Kristina) and Melissa Sturno; his granddaughters, Annalise Sturno and Marielle Sturno; and his siblings, Bernice DeFlora and Gerard Sturno (Patricia).
