He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson and Dorothy McMullin Shawley Johnson of Milesburg; and his aunt Daisy Shawley Blair. He is survived by: his wife Helen "Janie" Kirkwood of Summerville At; his uncle Frank Blair of Milesburg; his daughters, Tracey Zweig (Edward Zweig) of Bellefonte and Amy Shawley; and his granddaughters, Morgan Zweig and Madison Coleman of Bristol.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801 or to Kindred Hospice, 1701 12th Ave. Building D, Altoona, PA 16601. in memory of Robert L. "Bob" Shawley.
