Robert L. Burd Obituary
Robert L. "Bob" Burd, 75 of rural Howard passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, surrounded by his family, at home. Bob was born on November 20, 1947 in Bellefonte the son of the late Arthur L. and Elsie R. Hall Burd. On he married the former Sandra L. (Kopelock) Burd who survives at Home. Also surviving are his 2 sons, David A. Burd of Bellefonte and Anthony J. (Janine) Burd of Whiteford, MD ;his 7 grandchildren David Burd, Alexander Burd, Elizabeth Burd, Tyler Burd, Nathaniel Burd, Melanie Burd and Joshua Burd; and his great-grandson William Burd; Also surviving is his brother, Charles (Mona) Burd of Milesburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Nelson and his brother, Joseph Burd.
Bob was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. Bob was a heavy equipment operator for different coal companies. Bob was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed hunting especially turkeys, fishing, NACAR racing, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Steeler fan, and Penn State football. He also enjoyed tinkering in the garage. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg.
