Melody A. Thomas Obituary
Melody A. Thomas, 66 of rural Howard passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Melody was born on May 23, 1957 in DuBois, a daughter of the late Elwood G. and Mavis Whalley Galentine. On February 18, 2006 she married Keith Thomas, who preceded her in death March 8, 2019. Melody is survived by her children, Travis (Kaytie) Geyer of Jersey Shore, Silver (George McMillan) Geyer of Milesburg, and Michelle (David Delibero) Kephart of Julian. Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren Aubrey, Emily, Levi, Cooper, Carter, Lincoln, Scarlett, Alexionna, Isaac and Truly. She is also survived by her sister, Lorianne (Mike) Huey of New Philadelphia, OH, and her brother, Alan (Angie) Galentine of Dickson City, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Talis Geyer, her grandson Dillon Kephart, and her siblings, Edwina Galentine and Elwood H. Galentine.
Melody was a veteran having served in the United States Army Reserve. Before her retirement, she was employed at Sheetz, as a cashier. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, yard sales, Penns Cave Antique Machinery Show and her dog Daysha.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 11:00 AM – 12 Noon at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Funeral Services will follow at 12 Noon with her brother, Alan Galentine officiating. Burial will be in Rosecrans Cemetery, Greene Twp., Clinton Co., PA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg.
