Judson F Reigh Jr. Obituary
Judson F. "Ted" Reigh, Jr, 83, of Milesburg, died peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Born on August 18, 1941, in Altoona, Ted was the son of the late Judson F. and Florance (McCoy) Reigh, Sr. Ted's mother passed when he was young, and he was raised by Margaret (Adams) Reigh who also preceded him in death. On November 10, 2001, he married Sharen L. Killion, who survives at home.
Ted graduated from Altoona High School and earned an associate degree from Penn State University. After high school, he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. He worked for Bell Atlantic, retiring in the sales department after more than 35 years with the company.
Ted was a member of St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte. He served on the church council for many years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree. He was a member of the Elks and the Moose in Bellefonte, the Kiwanis Club of Bellefonte, and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of the Alpha Fire Company and the King of Prussia Volunteer fire company as well. He swerved with the Mid Centre County Authority.
Along with his wife, Ted is survived by his son, Judson F. "Jay" Reigh, III and his wife, Debra, and his daughter, Eden R. Bucher and her husband, Barton, all of Royers Ford; four grandchildren, Samantha Buchernatale (Chris), Sydney Bucher, Jake Reigh, and Abigail Reigh; his sister, Cheri Muston of Virginia Beach, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Ted was preceded in death by two brothers, James "Jim" Reigh and Gene Reigh.
Ted's family would like to express great thanks and appreciation to Julie Butler and Carol and Bill Thomas for their love, help, and support, as well as to the UPMC Hospice nurses and staff for their exceptional care and compassion they have shown.
Following Ted's wishes, there will be no public services. He would like memorial contributions to be made to St. John's Catholic School, 116 E Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823. He and his wife enjoyed reading to the children at the school and it meant a lot to him.
