Burns and Anna Burns (Snook); his siblings, Eugene Burns, Donald Burns, Walter Burns, William "Pete" Burns, Dolly Burns, Agnes Wetzel, Rosie Burns, Bess Breon and Lois Rupert; his daughters-in-law, Helen Burns and Barbara Burns; his grandson Paul Burns, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Samantha Hall and Ella Burns.

He is survived by: his wife Pauline Burns (Breon); his children, Thomas H. Burns of Julian, Paul M. Burns of Julian, Mary Hall (Charles) of Julian, Margaret Comly (Barry) of Julian, Earl L. Burns (Cindy) of Julian, Frank E. Burns (Karen) of Yarnell, Nancy Cowher (William) of Julian and Helen Brower (Ryland) of Julian; and his siblings, Charles Burns (Mary) of Bellefonte, Robert Burns (Linda) of Runville, Richard Burns (Connie) of Bellefonte and Dorothy Cain of Bellefonte. He is also survived by his 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
