James L. Shaw Obituary
James L. "Jim" Shaw 83, of Milesburg, surrounded by his family, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023. at his home. Jim was born in Snow Shoe on March 18, 1940, the son of the late James P. and Sarah Wenrick Shaw. On March 11, 1960, he married the love of his life, the former Nancy Z. (Chambers) Shaw, who survives at home. Also surviving are his children, David F. Shaw of Julian, Jamie A. Corman of Zion, Jasa (Chris) Dickson of Denver, PA and Dennis E. Shaw of rural Bellefonte. Jim is also survived by his 8 grandchildren; Adam Shaw, Tessa Shaw, Chamberlyn Corman, Alexa Corman, Ethan Corman, Jordan Weinhold, Drew Weinhold, and Dennis Shaw, Jr. and his 2 great-granddaughters, Adalynn and Isla; and his brother McClellan (Doris) Shaw of Snow Shoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Flick and son-in-law Rodney A. Corman.
Jim was of the Protestant faith. Jim spent 60 years in the trucking industry. A career where he felt he never worked a day in his life. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed attending car shows. His greatest love was spending time with family and friends, especially at camp, Twin Hollow.
Family and friend will be received on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 6 PM – 8 PM at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor B. Jeffrey Trawinski, officiating. Burial will be in Schencks Cemetery, Howard Twp., Centre Co., PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Snow Shoe Rails to Trails, PO Box 314, Clarence, PA 16829.
