James H. Rishell Obituary
James "Jim" H. Rishell, 88, of rural Julian passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. Jim was born on October 9, 1934 in DuBois, a son of the late Corliss and Helen DuBroux Rishell. He was married to the former H. Fay (Corbin) Rishell, who preceded him in death on November 2, 2016. Jim is survived by his son, Alan (Shannon) Rishell of Julian and his daughters Kathy (Bernie) Punt of Boalsburg and Susan (Scott) Neff of Loganton; he is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Ann Cavalieri and his brother, Richard Rishell.
Jim was employed at Penn State University as an Engineering Aide at ARL before his retirement. Jim was a Christian. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, his trips to camp, playing the piano and his four-legged companion, Molly.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 6 PM – 8 PM and on Friday February 10, 2023 from 10 AM – 11AM at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., with the Funeral Service to follow at 11 AM with Pastor Jay Saldana, officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Altoona, PA.
