He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Frantz and Elizabeth Williams Frantz; and his siblings, Fred Weaver, Margie Osmond, Marie Robb and Leona Bumbarger.

He is survived by: his wife Bertha "Boots" Burns Frantz; his son Frederick Frantz (Debra) of Jacksonville, FL; his stepchildren, Scott Frank (Tina Brown) of Port Matilda and Amy Rossi (Wayne) of Duncansville; his grandchildren, Evan Frantz, Noelle Frantz, Shawn Frank, Jordan Frank and Tyler Rossi; his great grandchild Piper Frank; and his sisters, Linda Laird of Port Matilda and Diane Prisk (Richard) of Port Matilda.
