Harry B. "Ben" Bryan, 78, of Milesburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on October 17, 1945, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Herbert L. and Marie (McClellan) Bryan, Sr. On April 16, 1966, in Milesburg, he married Judy L. Breon, who survives at home.

Ben was a 1963 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He enlisted in the US Navy on September 15, 1965, earned the rank of EM2; received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Good Conduct Medal before getting his honorable discharge on March 3, 1970. He was an Electrician for Cerro Copper and Brass in Bellefonte, retiring in 2007 after 38yrs of service.

Ben was a member of the Church of the Good Sheppard in Bellefonte. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard and attending Bald Eagle Area sporting events. He liked to watch Gunsmoke on TV and was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Ben lived for the warm weather. You would never hear him say it was too hot outside. He enjoyed taking his family to the beach for vacations. Family meant a lot to Ben, and he would be all excited to hear the family was coming home for a holiday meal. His favorite pastime was restoring automobiles.

Ben is survived by his wife, two sons: Michael B. Bryan and his wife, Edie, of Morrisdale and Todd E. Bryan and his wife Annette of Julian; three grandchildren: Tyler Bryan of Snow Shoe, Rachel Bryan of Julian, and Leah Bryan, Julian, and three great grandchildren: Karther, Americus, and Dyson.

Also surviving are his four brother's in-law: Laird Breon Jr of Zion, David Breon and his wife, Carol, of Bellefonte, Ron Breon and his wife, Chris, of Milesburg and Dennis Breon and his wife, Cheryl, of Howard.

Along with his parents, Ben was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert L. Bryan, Jr; one sister, Margaret Hafer, and one sister in-law, Kitty Breon.

There will be a public visitation on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 10am until Noon at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home Ind. 201 Spring St. Milesburg. Funeral service will be at noon at the funeral home with Pastor John Snare and Pastor Frank Skies officiating. Full military honors will follow the funeral service.
