Gerald A. Watson Obituary
Gerald A. "Buck" Watson, 70 of rural Julian, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Gerald was born on July 19, 1953 in Bellefonte the son of the late Allison "Mike" and Clara Irwin Watson. On September 24, 1983, he married Brenda L. (Craig) Watson who survives at home. Also surviving is his son Michael (Ashley) Watson of Julian, his 2 grandchildren, Kayla and Megan; he is also survived by his 2 sisters, Shirley Witmer of Unionville and Nancy Emel of Milesburg, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jay Witmer, Robert Witmer, Susan Jodon and Ed Witmer.
Before his retirement, "Buck" was employed at Cerro Metal Products in the Small Rod Department. "Buck" was of the Protestant faith, and was a hobby farmer, a John Deere enthusiast and an avid coffee drinker.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 5 P. M. - 7 P. M. at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg with the funeral service to follow at 7 P. M. with Pastor Stephen R. Hicks, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Union Twp., Centre Co. at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116. Funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg.
