Gary E. Derr Obituary
Gary E. Derr, 80, of rural Bellefonte passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at home. Gary was born on June 13, 1942 a son of the late Elwood G and Sara Tierney Derr. Gary is survived by his son, David G. (Kim) Derr of Hublersburg, his daughter Tammy (Andy) Krape of Bellefonte, his significant other, Nancy Wayland of rural Bellefonte; his grandchildren Brian T. Hill of Bellefonte, David C. (Tasha) Derr of Bellefonte; his great-grandchildren Brian R. Hill of Bellefonte, Emily E. Hill of Mill Hall, Charlie W. Derr of Bellefonte; his sisters-in-law Connie L.(Robert) Salvanish of Hublersburg, and Alice J. Carlson of NC and his brothers-in law, James (Mary Jane) Carlson of Snow Shoe, and Kenneth Carlson of Lock Haven; his aunt Lois D. Fetzer of State College and his cousin James Waite of Bellefonte, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mona R. Carlson Derr on July 17, 1985 and his sister Lois Liliedahl.
Gary was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and camping. Before his retirement he was employed at Cerro Metal Products in the Automatics Dept.

Services will be private and burial will be in the Union Cemetery at the conveniences of the family.
