Donna R. Bennett Obituary
Donna R. Bennett, 64, of Runville, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Born on January 22, 1959, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Christine (Kessling) Bennett. On May 22, 2008, she married Howard L. Klinger, Sr, who survives at home.
Donna was a 1976 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She was of the Methodist faith. She worked as an Optician at Nittany Eye Associates in State College for 20 years before retiring.
Donna loved the Grange Fair, camping, and playing all types of games, especially cards with her family. She was involved with the Centre County. Special Olympics and looked forward to helping Nittany Eye Assoc. at the Olympics. Above all, Donna was fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren. She would defend them even knowing they were in the wrong.
Donna is survived by her husband, Howard; children: Mathew T. Hockenberry of Milesburg and Mick L. Hockenberry and his wife, Julie, of Peckville, PA; step children: Jessica Pewu and her husband, Sam, of Philipsburg, Howard "Howie" Klinger, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Port Matilda, Vanessa McFadden and her husband, Michael, of Emlenton, PA and Alex Klinger and his wife, Hannah, of GA.
Also surviving are her 24 grandchildren: Mick, Jr "Micky", Mickael, Jace, Hunter, Mackenzie, Rylee, Julia, Rex Jr, "RJ", Lolla, Lincoln, Layton, Samai, Emerson, Cora, Izaac, Josie, Isaiah, Damian, Gannen, Jase, Sara, Braxton, Gavin, and Kayden; three great grandchildren: Haiden, Bentley, and Izabelle, And ten siblings: Stella "Doll" (Jim) Bruss, Connie "Nip" Eldridge, Paula "Polly" (Jim) Kellerman, Sally Bartley, Ethel "Weg" (Fred) Kellerman, Sandy Bennett, Joe Bennett, Norma Hockenberry, Wendy (Nick) Lacivita, and Terry (Deanna) Bennett, and numerous nieces and nephews. We cannot forget a special family friend, Jennifer Glasgow.
Along with her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Chris Marie Bennett and three sisters: Stephanie, Debbie, and Rose.
Public. Visitation will be on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home Inc, 201 Spring St. Milesburg. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Douglas Melott officiating. Burial will be private at the Advent Cemetery.
