He was predeceased by: his parents, Burcher Sheard and Harriet Barnes Sheard. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Leidenfrost; his sons, Malcolm Earl Sheard (Teri), David K. Sheard of Matamoras, PA and Brian K. Sheard of Cornelius, NY; his grandson Gabriel Pieros; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Sawyer Buto.
