She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Caruano and Mary Caruano (Caruso); her husband Leonard Yurkonis; her son Michael Yurkonis; and her siblings, Elizabeth, Joseph, John, Francis, Nicholas and Ralph Caruano.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Yurkonis (George Seibert) and Michele Nettles (Greg Lamping); her grandson Matthew Yurkonis (Kelsey) of Newark Valley, NY; and her great grandchild Hannah. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family prefers remembrances in the form of donations to the Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA, 18 Wertz Drive, Pine Grove, PA 17963.
