He is survived by: his parent Daisy Gabel (Reeder); his spouse Emelene Shelley; his children, Sandra Williams (John Sr.) of New Cumberland, Melodee Kerr (Stephen) of Millerstown, Karla Gabel (William Sheaffer) of Cocolamus and Judd Gabel (Paula) of Cocolamus; his sister Joann Gabel of Newport; and his grandchildren, Erin Kessel, John Williams Jr., Emily Williams, Misha Kelemen, Tristan Kerr, Shelley Gabel and Garrett Gabel.
