He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Ranck and Eva Goss (Temple); and his stepfather Lloyd W. Goss. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis M. Ranck (Fulton); his children, Amy Whitesel (Jim) of Mifflintown and Tim Ranck (Susan) of State College; and his grandchildren, Sarah Whitesel (Hector Nunez, Caleb), Seth Whitesel, Micah Whitesel and Joshua Whitesel.
