He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gary, Donald, Neil, Harold, Butch Swartzlander, Katherine Benelisha, Rosella Hoffman and Eleanor Smith; and his great grandchild Wyatt Erb.

He is survived by: his children, Terry Swartzlander Sr. (Marlene) of Milton, Sandra Miller (James) of Milton, Brenda Rabuck (Scott Sr.) of Mifflinburg, Rodney Swartzlander, Robert Swartzlander Jr., Samuel Swartzlander, Penni, Marian, HelenAnn and Karen; and his sister Irene Sherwood of Milton. He is also survived by 26 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

Memorial contributions in Robert's memory should go to a Veterans Organization.
