He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Sampsell and Mary Elizabeth Sampsell (Oyster); his stepdaughter Jody Lynn Rothermel; his daughter-in-law Cindy E. Sampsell; his siblings, Leroy, Paul, Earl Sampsell (Bugs) and Helen Boney Bortner; and his parents-in-law, Lavern and Evelyn Wonders.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda J. Wonders; his son Larry L. Sampsell of Mifflinburg; his grandchildren, Scott L. Sampsell (Michelle Reichley) of Millmont, Ryan A. Sampsell (Charity) of Mifflinburg and Lindsey E. (Chris Snyder) of Mifflinburg; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Tyler, Dominic, Denzel and Brennen; his stepgrandchildren, McKenna, Taylin, Colby and Kiera; his great great grandchild Aidan; and his sister-in-law Betty Sampsell of Milton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
