It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Smith of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, born in Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harold Clark and Frances Etnire Clark of Calumet City, Illinois.; and her siblings, John William Clark and Jo Ann VanCott. She is survived by: her husband Lamont B. Smith; her granddaughters, Cynthia H. Gillham (Craig DesJardins) of New York and Diana H. Rich (Douglas Warren Rich); her nieces, Jennifer Clark (Dino Messina) of Milan and Melissa Clark Nielsen (Jan Bech Jensen); her great-nieces, Sofie Frovst Nielsen of Copenhagen and Denmark; and her great-nephew John Alden Clark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Evangelical Hospital, Geisinger Hospice and the Sierra Club.
