She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Hippensteel and Clara Hippensteel (Herrington); her husband Robert A. Erdman; and her brothers, Weston and Jimmy Hippensteel.
She is survived by: her children, Roberta Erdman (Donald Lamon Jr), Brenda Casey (James) and David Erdman (Deborah); her granddaughters, Carolyn "Carly" Casey and Mariah Casey; her sisters, Ann Slocum (Russell) and Betsy Hippensteel (Maurice Guimond); and her sister-in-law Vinniedee Hippensteel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
