He was predeceased by: his parents, Freda Thompson (Hoover) and Kenneth MacPherson Thompson; his wife Evelyn; his son Keith A. Thompson; and his granddaughter Diana L. Thompson.

He is survived by: his children, Kenneth M. Thompson Jr. (Jude), Kevin A. Thompson (Lucia) and Christina Seidel (William) of Shillington; and his grandchildren, Tara Weistroffer (Joseph), Kenneth M. Thompson III (Lisa), Michael Thompson (Lindsay), Jordan Pineiro (Katlusca), Joshua Pineiro, Brandon Seidel (Kelsey), Sarah Navarro, Sam Thompson and Paige Thompson.
