He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Deiter and Sara Deiter (Fuller) of Sheaffer Valley; his son Martin Deiter; his grandson Maxwell Deiter; and his siblings, Charlie Deiter, Hazel Rice, Betty Britcher, Jack Deiter, Eleanor Deiter and Ray Deiter.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Deiter (Watts); his children, Matthew Deiter (Nannette) of Newville and Angela Boreman of Mexico, PA; his grandchildren, Nicholas Deiter of Newville, Maddison Deiter of Newville, Jessica Deiter (Daniel) of Mifflin, Stephanie Shoop (Andrew) of Mifflintown, Wyatt Deiter of Perry County, Tyler Mundis (Channa) of Washington State and Ethan Gesford of McClure; and his child Janessa Boreman of Mifflintown.
