He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Growden and Mabel Wolfe Growden; and his wife Lorraine Growden. He is survived by: his children, Valerie D'Amico (Joseph D'Amico) and Robert J. Growden Jr. (Edie J. Growden); his grandchildren, Sylvia J. Growden and Robert J. Growden III; and his siblings, Merle, Donald Growden, Ester Bykens, Mary Carlton and Raymond Growden.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Midway Volunteer Fire Department.
