It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Matthews of Midland, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Singleton and Anna Singleton (Barnett); her husband Sanford "Sandy" Matthews; her son Ronald Matthews; and her siblings, Robert Singleton, Kenneth Singleton, Cora Tullis, Dorothy Maragos, Janet Cummings, Thelma Stone, Carol Galloway and Sandra Dillon.
She is survived by: her daughter Betty Sozio (Samuel) of Ohioville, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Samuel Sozio, Michael Matthews (Heather), David Matthews, Elissa Tanner (James), Merideth Baxter (Robert), Mindy Matthews and Keshia Matthews; and her brothers, Clarence Singleton and William Singleton (Madeline). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
